TREATMENT COST
Treatment Cost
To estimate the treatment cost of a specific component, the most efficient approach is to send its technical drawing in STEP format (preferred) or PDF to:
ghaeurope@gmail.com
Required Information
To provide an accurate quotation, the following data is required:
-
Type of treatment (G.H.A., Hard Anodizing, etc.)
-
Required thickness (e.g. 20 μm, 45–55 μm, etc.)
-
Aluminium alloy used (e.g. 6082, Fibral, etc.)
-
Any additional finishing (cleaning, surface preparation, masking, etc.)
-
Estimated quantity
Technical Support
If some of the above information is not available, G.H.A. Europe® can support you in defining the optimal parameters.
For example, if the required thickness is unknown, it is sufficient to provide:
-
The type of previously applied treatment
-
The function of the component
-
The type of wear or corrosion to be prevented
Based on these inputs, G.H.A. Europe® will recommend the most suitable treatment specifications.
The company is also available to perform sampling tests, if validation is required.
Pricing Method
The treatment cost is calculated according to the following criteria:
-
Surface Calculation
The total surface area of the component is determined, typically using the technical drawing.
The STEP format is ideal, as it allows an immediate and precise calculation. -
Price per Unit Area
The surface value is multiplied by a price per square decimeter (dm²).
This value mainly depends on:-
Type of treatment
-
Required thickness
In general, the unit price slightly decreases as the size of the component increases.
-
Additional Costs
A surcharge may be applied in the following cases:
-
Parts with small surface area but large volume
-
Components requiring special mounting or handling
-
Alloys not suitable for anodizing
-
Parts requiring pre-treatment (cleaning, finishing, masking, etc.)
Urgency Factor
In case of urgent delivery, the total cost may be increased by a factor depending on the required lead time.
