The properties of Aluminium and GHA

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY Among all metals, aluminium stands out for its high thermal conductivity, allowing significant energy savings to reach cooking temperature. It distributes heat evenly across the entire surface, avoiding localized overheating and ensuring homogeneous cooking, which helps preserve the nutritional and organoleptic properties of food. LOW WEIGHT AND HIGH MANAGEABILITY Aluminium weighs about one third of steel and significantly less than copper. As a result, cookware and components of the same size are extremely light and easy to handle, both during use and cleaning. HIGH MECHANICAL SOLIDITY Aluminium alloys are widely used in aeronautical applications, proving that this lightweight metal is also extremely reliable and mechanically strong. G.H.A.® TECHNOLOGY G.H.A.® is an advanced surface treatment applicable to aluminium alloys. It consists of a special anodic oxidation process with a programmable thickness from 1 to 100 μm, followed by sealing of the microporosity with silver ions (Ag⁺). The anodic oxide layer has a hardness of 500–550 HV and provides the surface with advanced functional properties. COMMON USES Industrial machine components, automotive components, office machine parts, cooking elements, household components, electronic components, thermal radiators and air conditioning filters. The treatment layer, with a thickness ranging from 1 to 200 μm, is non-removable because the anodic oxide forms directly on the surface of the material. Approximately 50% penetrates into the substrate and 50% builds up on the surface, ensuring exceptional durability. PROPERTIES OF SILVER IONS (Ag⁺) High antibacterial and antimildew properties (bacteriostatic), low coefficient of friction with self-lubricating effect, high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, electrical and antistatic conductivity, and the ability to absorb heat and re-emit it through infrared waves.
